UKロックバンドFEEDERのベースTAKA HIROSEが日本を代表する女性ドラマー山口美代子と新人個性派ヴォーカリスト春奈鈴とともに始めたニューバンド。

 

TAKA自身がもっと自由に音楽を楽しむ為、そしてもっと自由に音楽を楽しんでもらう為に作ったこのバンドはFUNKとエレクトロの融合をベースにソウルフルな春奈鈴のヴォーカルがのるというスタイル。LIVE HOUSEというよりはダンスフロア対応型のサウンドを実現させた。

 

 

Taka, the bassist of FEEDER, has started his new project “dmg” in his home country, Japan.

As the bassist of FEEDER, Taka was nominated as the greatest bassist by XFM, UK radio station in 2014, along with MANI from The Stone Roses, FLEA from Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Colin Greenwood from Radiohead, Paul McCartney, and John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin.

This band, formed to enable Taka to experiment and enjoy a different music direction, has alternative sounds with a soulful female vocal based on the mixture of electro and funk sounds which reflect his experience of soul and funk from his young age.

This project is supported by the powerful rhythm section with the drummer, Miyoko Yamaguchi from DETROIT SEVEN, who also supports the unit “SCOTT&RIVERS” by Rivers Cuomo, the front man of Weezer. She is one of the most representative female drummers in Japan and additionally is the member of Muddy Apes that Taka started with INORAN from LUNA SEA in 2012.

As the vocalist, the new talent of Suzu Haruna is appointed, capturing Taka with her unique voice and soulful songs.

On December 3rd 2014, the debut album “DUSTY MELLOW GOLD” will be released from Bellwood Record, known as the label established for the base of Japanese new music.
